In january 2020, the department for the protection of persons with disabilities of the ministry of labour, employment, veteran and social affairs and the national organization of persons with disabilities of serbia launched a joint campaign “serbia without barrier”.

The campaign was designed to introduce a common slogan and a recognizable visual identity under which all individual activities aimed at improving the position of persons with disabilities will be implemented, such as the installation of ramps and elevators in public facilities, construction of playgrounds, reconstruction and equipping facilities of associations of persons with disabilities, observation of important dates of the disabled movement, along with accompanying viber sticker campaign, photo contests.

In the framework of the campaign, significant results have been achieved in the area of ​​improving the position of persons with disabilities, through a strategic approach and cooperation among the department for the protection of persons with disabilities, noois and other federations and associations in the republic of serbia.

To enable persons with disabilities to participate fully and equally in the life of the community, the department for the protection of persons with disabilities supported the implementation of various projects aimed at improving accessibility, providing adequate conditions for the work of the associations, raising public awareness about persons with disabilities and improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities by strengthening their capacities and creating opportunities for full and effective participation and engagement in all spheres of social life.
